I am not married to my best friend. My best friend is who I call when I can not believe the BS of the day or to sit and have a cigar with while we drink a glass of whiskey. My friend I can call in the middle of the night and they will say "dude that sux, what can I do?" My friend will also get up and race into the breach with me to save my own.
Yet I am not married to my best friend. I am married to my partner in life. I am married to a person who will fight with me til 2 Am (or later) just to get it done. I am married to the person who will share my hardest day and greatest triumph letting me stand in the light as I will do for them.
I am married to the person who chose to live their life with me putting up with my faults and foibles as I accept their imperfections as my own.
We don't always get along. We fight, we bitch, we cut and bite. and then we hold each other as we cry. In the end we love and face the world as one.
I am not married to my best friend I am married to the one who makes my life whole, Her word and actions I consider as my own and I know she does the same.
This is how I define Marriage. This is how I define my relationship with my beloved.
This is not friendship, this is Union.
