Armed Forces Day

Growing up on Military basis Armed forces day was almost as big as Christmas, there was soda meat on the grill, beer to be drank and party's to be had. I remember flyovers by groups of choppers and jets and competitions between units. I remember riding in tanks and APC's. For alot of folks the day off of work for memorial day is a big deal, for those of us who grew up children of the cold war, a day to celebrate those who fight for our lives and rights _today_ just as big... so Saturday, go buy a flag, thank a serviceman, stop at dawn for colors just because you can .. because so many are standing on a line to say " I don't care if your right or wrong, I am here to protect you!"
